Feel the unparalleled sensation of swimming with an apex predator during this cage-free shark dive at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast. Your experience begins with a briefing and comprehensive scuba dive training session in their Learner Diver Tank to ensure you're ready for the plunge. Once you're comfortable with the scuba equipment and breathing underwater, you'll dip into the ocean tunnel. Take a deep breath as you come face-to-face with grey nurse sharks up to three meters in length, as well as an abundance of other marine life like wobbegong and reef sharks, giant stingrays and colourful reef fish. There are few experiences world-wide where you're guaranteed to get up close to these monsters of the deep. If diving with sharks is on your to do list, make it happen with SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium. Once you've completed your dive with sharks, take your time exploring the rest of the aquarium.

How It Works

• All divers must be the age of 14 years and over. Any participants under 18 years of age must accompanied by a participating parent/guardian

• All divers are required to arrive and 'check-in' at SEA LIFE premises at the stated arrival time on their ticket, voucher or confirmation email. Non-arrival or arrival after this time will result in non admittance to the dive at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s discretion, without refund. Missed dives after check-in time will not be re-scheduled.

• DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR DIVE.

• DO NOT FLY IN AN AIRCRAFT WITHIN 12 HOURS AFTER YOUR DIVE.

• YOU MUST HAVE BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER.

• YOU MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY UP TO 40kg OF DIVING EQUIPMENT.

• IMPORTANT: All divers will be required to sign a General Waiver and Medical Declaration Form which includes, but is not limited to, statements that: a) The Participant does not suffer from certain medical conditions which may prevent the participant undertaking the Dive. b) The Participant enters SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast premises and participates in the Dive at their own risk.

• IMPORTANT NOTICE - Conditions that may prevent you from diving
• If you have any of the medical conditions outlined below, you will be required to obtain a dive Medical Clearance from certified Dive Doctor. It is recommended that you obtain the Clearance before booking your dive;

Taking any prescription medications (with the exception of birth control or anti-malarial drugs other than mefloquine (Lariam)

Issues with lungs, breathing, heart or blood (affecting physical or mental performance)

Asthma

Heart disease

Diabetes

Chest conditions including Pneumothorax

High blood pressure

Struggle to perform moderate exercise (e.g. walking 1.6 kilometres or swimming 200 metres without resting) OR have been unable to participate in normal physical activity due to fitness or health reasons within the past 12 months

Have issues with eyes, ears or nasal passages/sinuses

Have had surgery within the last 12 months, or have ongoing problems related to past surgery

Have lost consciousness, had migraine headaches, seizures, strokes, significant head injury, or suffer from persistent neurologic injury or disease

Currently undergoing treatment (or have required treatment in the last five years) for psychological problems, personality disorder, panic attacks, or an addiction to drugs and alcohol; or have been diagnosed with a learning or developmental disability

Had back problems, hernia, ulcers or diabetes

Have had stomach or intestine problems, including recent diarrhoea

Please note: If you are pregnant (or planning to become pregnant), you will not be permitted to dive.

If you do not have any of the conditions list above or any relevant medical conditions not listed, you will not be required to seek a Dive Medical Clearance. If you do have a condition listed and have had a Dive Medical Clearance within the last 12 months with no further medical issues within that timeframe, we can accept your recent Clearance. After booking in your program you will be forwarded through a waiver and will need to sign off on this medical information.

Cancellation Policy

• Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
• This experience is non-refundable and specific to the dive specified in the booking
• A maximum of one (1) change in the dive date or time or diver identity can be made up to 7 days prior to the scheduled dive. These changes are dependent upon availability and at the discretion of the Reservations Team
• An administrative fee of $50 per person will apply and is payable at the time of the change
• Changes within 7 days of the dive will NOT be permitted
• All dives must be paid for at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed by operator in advance
• The operator reserves the right to cancel tickets purchased in advance which are not paid for
• In the event that a dive is cancelled by the operator then divers will be re-booked at the earliest possible time at the discretion of the operator. In the case of purchases bought through an agent, reimbursement for the tickets will be in line with the third party's T&Cs
