Time

• Please check in 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
• Departures times vary throughout the year due to changing sunset times
• In most times of the year tours may start anytime between 6:30pm and midnight
• In summer months tours usually start anytime from 10pm and midnight, finishing as late as 2am

• This experience will take approximately 90 minutes

Departure Location

• This experience is located is a four-minute drive from Lake Tekapo village centre, next to the Tekapo River

• We encourage you to wear warm clothes or bring a blanket to use during the experience all year round.

Additional Information

• Weather conditions are very changeable in the Mackenzie basin, we cannot guarantee a perfect cloudless sky. A full refund will be offered to guests if the service is cancelled due to weather conditions (cloud, rain, snow, fog). The decision to cancel is at the discretion of Chameleon Stargazing
• Smoking or drug consumption is not permitted during the time you are participating in our tour. If guests are considered to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, or deliberately intend to damage the equipment, the service will be cancelled, and no refund will be given
• Please Note: Some Stargazing Tours Depart After Midnight, make sure that you are selecting the correct date for your booking. For example: 01.15am on the 4th December will depart in the morning on the 4th December. It is NOT for the evening of the 4th December

Cancellation Policy

• Guests will receive a full refund if the service is cancelled up to 24 hours before hand, any appointment transfer requests can be sent to info@chameleonstargazing.com
• Chameleon Stargazing has the right to cancel or change the duration of the service due to extreme weather conditions or technical issues, in this case, you will get a full refund or be transferred to another date.
